Not big news, but news nonetheless. KTM has given its 690 Enduro R and 690 SMC R a new layer for 2023. You can almost take that literally, since one of the most striking changes is a new decal set.

Engine and power
No surprises in terms of engine: the trusted LC4 engine, currently the most powerful production single-cylinder (75 hp), continues to provide the drive. The engine has now had 30 years of development, which is quite remarkable. It started in 1987 with 553 cc and has now reached 693 cc.
Changes for 2023
In 2023, the 690 Enduro R and the 690 SMC R will get an updated LCD display. Not only the speed but also the rpm will be displayed on the new one, and the most important warning lights are also integrated. New graphics and a new seat make their appearance on the 2023 models.

Both machines also boast cornering ABS. In addition, the Enduro also has off-road ABS that can reduce the ABS effect on the front wheel and even disable it on the rear wheel. Instead of an off-road ABS, the SMC R gets the Supermoto ABS, which basically does exactly the same as on the sister model – albeit tailored to road use. Both models are equipped with a Euro5-compliant stainless steel exhaust system.
