For the year 2020 there is a renewed Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio. The Stelvio Q is also being adjusted.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifglio is such a car that is completely right. In terms of power, handling, handling, looks, size: the car is actually perfect. We would have preferred to have seen a Sportswagon (how cool would that be!). Slightly more ways to configure the car to your taste are also welcome. It was possible with the BMW M3, for example.
(Almost) the empire alone
Yes, was, because the M3 is now out of production. You can only order the M4 Convertible. Mercedes still has the mighty C63 and C63S AMG on offer. Since there is no RS4 sedan, the Giulia almost has the empire alone.
Model year update
Instead of resting on their laurels, the Giulia Quadrifglio features a model year update. Now the regular Giulia (and Stelvio) last year already very carefully under the knife, the interior was equipped with nicer plastics and an improved infotainment system. For now there is the renewed Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Guess three times which way to go.
The renewed Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio is really a model update, not a facelift. There are a few external changes. The headlights are darker and the grille is high-gloss black. So that means that the car has been modified mainly at the detail level. For example, there are new driver assistance systems, which Alfa Romeo calls ADAS. ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance System.
With these systems, autonomous driving (level 2) is possible in the renewed Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio. Also, the interface of the infotainment system was changed from 8.8 inch (that was 7 inch). It certainly looks slicker and there are new online services. You can now also charge your phone wirelessly. Also nice for the occupants: there is more storage space in the interior.
They are relatively mild adjustments, so. There are a few welcome changes, by the way. For example, there are three new colors: Rosso 6C Villa d’Este, Ocra GT Junior and Verde Montreal. You can also see the latter in the images. These three colors are part of the Herritage-line. Yes, with twice the letter “r”.
In addition, the LED taillights give away that you have the latest Giulia. There are also new 21 ″ rims possible, although we assume that for the Stelvio Quadrifoglio to be. On the Giulia, 20 ″ was the largest size. In the interior there are also new sports seats to order, as well as belts in a different color.
Not much changes under the hood. The Giulia and Stelvio are both powered by a 2.9-liter Ferrari V6 with two turbochargers. The engine delivers 510 hp and 600 Nm, which in both cases are transferred via an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF. The Giulia has rear-wheel drive, the Stelvio has the Q4 all-wheel drive system. Prices and further details will follow later.
Cool. Especially when they expand their model range …
Interior has become very neat. Recently seated in a Giulia with the new interior and it looks just a little tighter. Nicer finished, an infotainment that works much better and nicer. Was necessary too!
Are there no pictures of the 20 inch rims for the giulia?
That green color is nice!
A new look outside was not really necessary. It still looks very modern and because you (unfortunately) don’t see them very often, it still doesn’t feel old.
What was really needed was the upgrade of the infotainment which was very bad.
Yesterday I saw one next to a g20 m sport, but I think the Giulia is a lot nicer / quieter.
