Kuhl Racing’s Nissan GT-R features hand-engraved decorations.
It has been proven that the Japanese can build cars that are popular with Europeans. In that respect, there does not really seem to be a culture gap. There is one in the field of tuning. The Japanese tuning culture is difficult for the average Dutch person to understand. We must immediately add: many Japanese people probably also scratch their heads when they see some creations.
Here we have another example of a car that has been modified as only Japanese can. The Nissan GT-R you see here is the work of Kuhl Racing. And no, that is not a German shop. Kuhl Racing is just as German as Rauh-Welt Begriff. So Japanese.
Kuhl Racing’s Nissan GT-R has a little subtle body kit, but that’s not even the most striking aspect. That is the gold-colored paint with extremely detailed decorations. These are engraved by hand in a base of chrome, which is then sprayed with a gold-colored lacquer. It therefore took a lot of man hours.
Relatively little has been changed in the interior, except for Recaro bucket seats and some gold-colored details. The interior therefore still looks quite basic. The contrast with the exterior can hardly be greater.
Kuhl Racing has also taken care of the drivetrain. The 3.6 liter V6 is equipped with two new turbochargers, bringing the power to 820 hp. If you haven’t noticed yet: the exhaust system has also been significantly adjusted. With the necessary detours, the exhaust system ends up in three central chutes.
After Kuhl Racing showed the car in 2016 in the run-up to the Tokyo Motor Show, this GT-R apparently fell into the hands of an Arab. It is now for sale at Auto Deals in Dubai. The Japanese aren’t the only ones who like extreme bling-bling after all. It is clear that it is a show car, because it has only 6,000 km on the clock. The asking price is not tender: it has been converted to € 361,000.
