ASUS has announced that the Zenfone 9 will be officially presented on July 28. The device will most likely also come to Europe. What can we expect from this compact smartphone?

In a Twitter post ASUS has announced that the ASUS Zenfone 9 will be presented on July 28. Below the post, ASUS shares the following text: ”We can’t wait to share this exciting news with you – we will be live on July 28 at 9 p.m. (UTC+8) to reveal the most gripping Zenfone 9 ever!”
They also report that the smartphone will have a ‘Compact Size’ and ‘Big Possibilities’. This of course refers to the compact design that the Zenfone devices from ASUS always have. We also see transparent devices on the phone’s display, does this possibly refer to an infrared filter? We saw this before with the OnePlus 8 Pro before OnePlus decided to disable the function after criticism about privacy.
Other specifications
According to previous rumors and renders ASUS Zenfone 9 will get a 5.9 inch Full-HD+ 120 Hz AMOLED panel. With this, the device will have a screen just as large, or small, as the ASUS Zenfone 8. This Zenfone 8 was the predecessor of the Zenfone 9 and was tested by us last year. Our Sebastien was very positive about the phone and its compact design at the time. Compact device is coming to Europe
In the tweet from ASUS, we can also see that the ASUS Zenfone 9 will be launched in Europe, judging by the announcement of the device on July 28 at 3:00 PM in Berlin. A funny detail is that in the photo shared in the Twitter message we see a selfie camera, on the ASUS website however, it has disappeared. Is this a mistake, a marketing ploy or does the photo on the website refer to an Asus Zenfone 9 Flip? We’ll see on July 28th.
