Ford Ranger Tremor is Raptor alternative

Ford has unveiled a new off-road package for the Ranger in the United States. The American customer is introduced to the Ranger Raptor, a rough cloth for bleeding.

Since this year, you can come to Ford in the Netherlands for a Raptor version of the Ranger. The Ranger Raptor has a 213 hp and 500 Nm strong 2.0-liter biturbo diesel engine under the hood, but is also equipped with a thoroughly modified off-road chassis. As a result, the Ranger Raptor is higher on its legs and has extra long suspension travel, among other things. In addition, the ultimate Ranger version is also nicely dressed on the outside, completely in line with the Raptor version of big brother F-150. The Ranger Raptor is not available in the United States. Ford does bring a slightly milder alternative to the market: the Ranger with Tremor package.

The Tremor Pack also brings a modified chassis geared specifically for off-road adventures to the Ranger. The pick-up is therefore about 2 centimeters higher on its legs and therefore also has longer suspension travel than the standard versions. This naturally increases the approach and departure angles of the model, good news for those who want to let go of the beaten track. The Ranger with Temor package gets 32-inch Continental General Grabber All-Terrain rubber wrapped around its 17-inch alloy wheels. In addition, the package includes underbody protection and a differential lock for the rear axle. The traction control has also been adjusted for better grip on unpaved. In addition, Ford can optionally dress the Ranger Tremor with things such as a winch and extra lighting.

In the United States, the Ranger is only available with the 2.3 EcoBoost, which is well-known from the Mustang, which produces 270 hp and 420 Nm of torque in the Ranger. That power is distributed over all four wheels via a ten-speed automatic transmission.
