HIDRIVE ON ANY DEVICE
After registration you have a username and password. This gives you access to your online storage space from any browser. You log in to https://my.hidrive.com/#login. You can do this on any computer, tablet or smartphone. Alternatively, you can install the HiDrive app on a mobile device. This application is available for free on the Play and App Store. With this you have the entire content of your personal cloud space in your pocket. Handy if, for example, you want to show a photo to someone or need important documents at a remote location.

FAST UPLOAD FILES
HiDrive subscribers decide for themselves how they store files in the cloud. Are you logged in to the HiDrive website? Then click first upload and then choose Upload files or Upload folder. You then select a file or (sub)folder on the computer, after which you confirm with upload. You can follow the progress of the upload process below. Additional details appear via the double arrow. Uploading from the Netherlands or Belgium is very fast, because the data covers a relatively short distance. Once the data is online, you can easily share files with others. For this, HiDrive generates a unique link with password protection.

View files, such as photos and office documents, directly from HiDrive

In addition to uploading via the website, you can just as easily copy data from the mobile app to the cloud. There is also synchronization software for Windows and macOS. Use this to add a HiDrive folder to one or more systems. Files that you save in this local folder automatically end up on STRATO’s online server. Create a backup so easily. The connection between the computer and the online server is encrypted, so that cybercriminals cannot intercept data.

ONLINE OFFICE
Once there are files in HiDrive, you can open them directly in the browser or mobile app. In many cases you do not have to download the data first, because this online storage service supports a lot of file formats. Just click or tap on a photo and start an online slideshow via the play button. You can also easily open PDFs, audio tracks, videos and text documents from the cloud.

If you regularly save office documents, the optional HiDrive Office extension will come in very handy. Work with it directly in Microsoft Office or OpenDocument files. Favorable, because it is no longer necessary to use other applications. From now on you can save and edit documents in a central location. So clear! It is even possible to collaborate with other users at the same time. All commonly used tools are available. Use the menu bar at the top to do this. For example, you work with formatting profiles and you perform a spell check. HiDrive Office is an excellent alternative to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

TAILORED CLOUD STORAGE
The possibilities of HiDrive extend too far to describe them all in detail. In addition to HiDrive Office, this service has even more valuable extensions in store. For a small additional charge, you can fully tailor the online storage service to your needs. Interesting, for example, is the support for additional access protocols. This is useful, for example, if you want HiDrive to work with a NAS. In addition, the online storage service may communicate with a PC or laptop via an (encrypted) network drive. Do you want even more security in addition to all regular safety measures? In that case, the optional extensions end-to-end encryption and device backup are worth considering.
