Just two weeks ago, the Palexpo in Geneva already announced that it is taking measures to prevent the risk of corona spreading at the Motor Show. At so-called ‘contact points’ such as restaurants, toilets, touch screens and doors (also of the cars) there will be additional cleaning points and disinfectants. The staff was further instructed to pay extra attention to hygiene. Everything to prevent a person who has been infected with corona from being able to transmit the virus to part of the expected half a million visitors.

Now the virus already Italy and Austria has surfaced, the distance to Geneva has shrunk considerably. In addition, the European outbreak means that there will also be more exhibitors from risk areas. No symptoms may have been detected in the 14 days before their arrival in Switzerland, to avoid all risk of dissemination among other exhibitors and visitors. “

Visitors to the Motor Show are encouraged to stay away from people who cough and sneeze as much as possible. Often washing hands and staying away from animals is also urgently required. In addition, people who have to sneeze or cough must adhere to the usual etiquette; hand to mouth and nose, possibly use a disposable handkerchief and wash hands thoroughly.
