Diesel hybrid is the most accessible version
Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 the 4Matic Coupé
Mercedes-Benz expands the range of the GLE Coupé with the “350 de 4Matic”. The diesel hybrid can be ordered immediately.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 4Matic, as the version is called in full, is now also available as a GLE Coupé. The version with sloping roofline gets the same hybrid drivetrain as the regular GLE, with 2.0 four-cylinder diesel engine as a basis.
On the 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor, the GLE can drive fully electric over a distance of 107 kilometers. That value has been measured according to the old NEDC method and will therefore be somewhat lower in practice, but the GLE nevertheless achieves impressive figures for a plug-in hybrid. The battery pack is therefore quite powerful with a capacity of 31.2 kWh. The batteries can be charged with a regular or a quick charger. The floor of the luggage compartment is higher than in the non-hybrid versions, in order to accommodate the batteries.
The GLE 350 the 4Matic Coupé has a system power of 320 hp, the total torque is no less than 700 Nm. The hybrid SUV coupé can tow a trailer of up to 2,500 kilograms.
The prices of the new version start at 98,384 euros, making it by far the most accessible version you can get from the GLE Coupé. The next engine version, the GLE 400 d, is available from more than 125,000 euros.
