Lincoln Nautilus gets a facelift

The Lincoln Aviator presented in 2017 gets a fairly thorough facelift, although you will hardly notice it from the outside. It is the inside of the SUV that is almost completely renewed.

The Lincoln Nautilus, like all other models of the brand, is not available in Europe. Still, the car is an interesting one to discuss. After all, Lincoln is Ford’s luxury brand and you can see the Nautilus as Lincoln’s more luxurious alternative to the Ford Edge, which he recently sold in the Netherlands, with which he shares his basis. It’s been three years since the MKX was facelifted and Nautilus christened, meaning the model is now ready for a second facelift.

At first glance, it does not amount to much. Lincoln adjusts the front bumper and we have had the external adjustments with that. What has been adjusted, takes place underneath the Nautilus’ sheet metal. The SUV gets a completely new interior. Except for the steering wheel, the door panels and the center tunnel, everything has been adjusted. The somewhat distressed-looking dashboard of the past makes way for a cockpit that we know from the other models of the brand: the Navigator, Corsair and Aviator. Here too, a floating 13.2-inch display with a stripped and kinked button island that connects the center tunnel and the dashboard. Behind the steering wheel is a new digital instrumentation. Almost everything else has changed, from the ventilation grilles to the controls for the climate control.

The engine list has not been tinkered with, which means, among other things, that the 340 hp and 515 Nm strong 2.7 V6 returns. The blown 2.0 with 254 hp and 380 Nm remains the entry-level engine. The starting price of the Nautilus in the United States is around € 34,500.
