Manhart is a tuner that normally mainly provides BMWs with extra power and some subtle decoration. This time it is the turn of a fat German competitor: the Mercedes-AMG E 63.

With the ER 800, Manhart is somewhat on thin ice. The E 63 is the domain of Brabus, which as a manufacturer goes one step further than just tuning. Manhart is in any case about the same level in terms of power: the ER 800 has 809 hp and 1,070 Nm of torque under the hood. To achieve those numbers, Manhart gives the 4.0 V8 biturbo, among other things, a different ECU, turbos and intercooler. The company also mounts a carbon air intake and a sports exhaust. In addition, Manhart lowers the E 63 by 20 to 30 mm if desired. According to the tuner, this can be done by adjusting the air suspension software, or by mounting other connecting rods.

In order to bring the super sedan to a stop quickly, the ER 800 has ceramic brake discs on the front axle with a diameter of 405 mm. This makes the discs 3 mm larger than the ceramic copies that AMG optionally mounts. From the outside, the ER 800 is not very spectacular: 21-inch wheels and golden Manhart decals should attract attention. In addition, the ‘V8 Biturbo’ badges on the sides have been replaced by ‘ER 800’ and that type designation can also be found on the trunk lid. In the interior, Manhart has not adjusted anything except for the floor mats. Remarkably, the demo car does not have the Burmester audio system, something you would expect in this price range. In addition, it is an E 63 from before the facelift.

Manhart does not give a package price for the ER 800, but does state what all the adjustments must cost separately. The modifications to the engine cost a total of €17,999, the wheels cost €8,200 and the decals cost €999. In addition, you can have the grille in black for €595 and lowering the car costs €355. Those who are satisfied with less power can also opt for only an ECU tune for between €2,899 and €4,099, depending on whether you bring an E 63 or E 63 S. With 650 to 690 hp, the gain compared to a standard E 63 is a lot less.
