Mercedes-Benz shows new C-class

Mercedes-Benz will present the youngest C-class Saloon and Estate to the world on 23 February. The Benz renewed down to the smallest nut can already be seen on a new teaser record.

Mercedes-Benz shows a dark image showing the new C-class Saloon and Estate side by side. Techzle edited the image slightly, which gives a clearer picture. For example, the light signature of the rear light units can be discerned, we see classic-looking multi-spoke wheels and the Mercedes emblem is projected on the ground from the bottom of the side mirror.

So far, few shocking things. Now the design of the new C-Class will not really surprise anyone. Like the outgoing C-class, the new also shows similarities with the S- and upcoming E-class. Especially in the shape of the headlights and the dividing line between the bumper and the front screen, we already see some design touches of the S-class (photo 5). The C-Class Limousine will once again have a straight shoulder line, a relatively long bonnet and a slightly sloping, short sedan butt (current model, photo 3). The windows of the Estate, in turn, hardly seem to deviate from those of the current type (photo 4).

The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class will have the latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system on board, which debuted in the current S-Class. Mercedes’ competitor of the Audi A4 and BMW 3 series only appears to be coming onto the market with electrified powertrains. Engines with more than four cylinders are not in the pipeline and that not only means that the C 43 AMG is exchanging its six-cylinder for a four-cylinder with electric assistance, but that the C 63s are also exchanging their mighty eight-cylinder for an electrically assisted four-cylinder. Getting used to for the purists.
