MITT Motorcycles 530TT: Spanish mid-range all-road

The past EICMA In Milan, many small new brands could be discovered for the first time. Brands such as the Spanish MITT, which presented the new 530TT at the Milan motorcycle fair, a cool all-road based on the Honda 500 twin.

To be honest, we had never heard of it either, from MITT Motorcycles, but that’s not surprising either. Although the Spanish brand has been around for several years, the engines are only available in Spain and Portugal until now. Well, recently there is also a dealer in Germany, but MITT’s horizon does not reach further than that one dealer at the moment.

MITT Motorcycles defines itself as a European group with more than 30 years of experience in the design, development, production and international distribution of high-quality motorized vehicles, advanced design and excellent after-sales service, ranging from motorcycles to quads, ADVs, bicycles, electric vehicles, jet skis, boats and generators.

According to MITT Motorcycles, we should see the brand as a smart and modern European alternative to traditional brands. The Spaniards claim to have an extensive international network on three continents, an extensive network of dealers who all share the principle of “absolute customer satisfaction, without compromise”. “Our goal is to offer motorized products with European design, ecological, high quality and efficient after-sales service, at competitive prices,” said MITT.

MITT Motorcycles can best be compared to MASH, Mutt Motorcycles and Brixton, also European brands that work according to exactly the same formula: in-house design and production in China, using existing engine blocks. The brand was founded in 2018 by JETS MARIVENT, a company that has been an authorized Spanish importer of various brands for the two-wheeler, jet-ski and bicycle market for more than 35 years.

In Spain, MITT Motorcycles is booming, according to Spanish sales statistics, MITT was the fourth fastest growing brand in Spain in the first half of this year compared to the previous year. In August, MITT even took third place.

Now MITT had initially focused on light (125cc) motorcycles and scooters, but with the launch of the 530TT, the Spaniards have now also focused on the A2 mid-range segment.

The 530TT, which appears to be a mix of the CFMoto 800MT and the Benelli TRK502 in looks, is powered by the 471cc parallel twin from Honda’s CB500 platform, but appears to be much more prepared for the rougher stuff than the CB500X. The aluminum crankcase protection plate, the spoked wheels with studded tires and the aluminum panniers speak volumes in that regard.

The 471cc twin, which produces a peak power of 35kW at 8,500rpm and 45Nm of torque at 7,000rpm, is fitted and a steel lattice frame, where an upside-down fork is bolted to the front that is fully adjustable, while at the rear, a central rear shock with progressive link system is provided in the double-sided swingarm.

From the 800mm high seat you have a view of a TFT color display, with a centrally placed speedometer and above that a gear indicator as the two most important items. The tachometer runs underneath and information such as fuel stock and vibration meter readings can be read on both sides. No fewer than three USB charging points are provided as standard. The petrol tank has a capacity of no less than 18 liters, which in theory should give the engine a range of roughly 450 kilometers.

The MITT 530TT is sold in Spain for only € 7,095, which can be called a competitive price given its equipment. Adjustable suspension, LED lighting all around, a TFT color display and a 3-piece luggage set. And besides, it doesn’t look bad at all. We are waiting for an importer for the Benelux.
