NAIAS from now on in September anyway

The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) has put another month on the calendar in which car manufacturers can store their wares. The American car fair will now take place in September. This is the second time and in a relatively short time that the NAIAS has indicated that it opened its doors at a different time than usual.

The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) traditionally took place in January, but in 2018 the organization reported that the show – plagued by the popularity of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which also takes place in Las Vegas in January – was due for revamp . After the 2019 edition, the NAIAS would no longer take place in January, but in June. So full in the summer. This year, the NAIAS would open its doors for the first time in June, but of course that entire car party was canceled due to the corona crisis. The organization of the NAIAS has now announced that the next edition of the annual car fair for next year is not planned in June, but in September.

However, it is not incidental that the NAIAS will take place in September. According to the organization, the month of September has already been contractually fixed for at least the next three years as the month in which the fair opens. The IAA will also take place in Munich in September. That auto show will open its doors in early September, so the NAIAS organization says it has planned the start of the American auto fair as far as possible to the end of the month. The gates of the NAIAS will open on September 28, they will not close again until October 9.
