New MacBook Pros and AirPods will be released this year, but Apple plans to release new AirPods Pro and a refreshed iPad Pro in 2022 as well.
New AirPods Pro and iPad Pro coming in 2022
That says Mark Gurman by Bloomberg in his most recent newsletter. Gurman expects Apple to release new MacBook Pros and AirPods this year. But the tech giant also has a number of things planned for the coming year, says Gurman.
Looking ahead to 2022, he expects Apple to release new AirPods Pro and an improved iPad Pro. It doesn’t stop there, because a new Mac Pro and MacBook Air with Apple Silicon (Apple processor) are also planned. Last but not least there will be not one, two, but three new Apple Watch models.
New AirPods Pro will get motion sensor in 2022
Gurman and Debby Wue (also from Bloomberg) had previously said that the new AirPods Pro will get motion sensors. With this, the earplugs will soon ‘know’ when you start a workout.
For the updated iPad Pro, Apple is planning a glass back with support for wireless charging. You can then charge the AirPods by placing them on the back of the iPad Pro, according to Wu and Gurman.
