Mercedes C-Class All-Terrain

A few years ago, the Boswachter Gezocht program was on TV. With a Mercedes C-Class All-Terrain or other raised station wagon under your ass, you would have won the dream job with a whistle. You can slide deer with a sprained ankle into the large trunk, because the tailgate opens electrically. The navigation system shows you the shortest route to the vet. Tall grasses and deep puddles are no problem, thanks to the extra ground clearance and the four-wheel drive you can get anywhere. With an optional panoramic roof you feel at one with nature through which you dredge so fanatically. Mercedes asks 68,436 euros for such a workhorse. Audi is much more expensive, Volvo considerably cheaper.

More expensive – Audi A4 Allroad Quattro

When Mercedes jumps into the ditch, Audi just splashes after it. And even deeper. Because the A4 Allroad is more powerful (265 hp and 370 Nm) and more expensive than the C-class All-Terrain. Not only is the base price 8 mille higher, at Audi you pay hundreds of euros more for each option than at Mercedes. Compared to the A4, the C-class is a bargain.

Audi A4 45 TFSI Allroad Quattro (265 hp) – 72,929 euros

  • Navigation System – Standard
  • Panoramic roof – 2074 euros
  • Electric tailgate – standard
  • 18-inch alloy – 1120 euros
  • Towbar (1700 kilos) – 1549 euros

Total: 77,672 euros

Cheaper – Subaru Outback

It is because we have such high requirements (navigation, glass roof, electric tailgate, etc.), otherwise there is already a Subaru Outback for 58,995 euros on your lawn. You then navigate via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and you have to open and close the tailgate yourself, but the Subaru driver can do that. It hurts us that every Outback has 27 grand in taxes.

Subaru Outback Premium (169 hp) – 65,995 euros

  • Navigation System – Standard
  • Panoramic roof – standard
  • Electric tailgate – standard
  • 18″ Alloy – Standard
  • Towbar (2000 kilos) – 1352 euros

Total: 67,347 euros

Cheaper – Volvo V60 Cross Country

The V60 Cross Country should not be missing on this page, because if one brand in the Netherlands still does good business with station wagons, it is Volvo. In addition, the V60 is the bargain of the month. It has a base price under 60 grand and is standard on 18-inch alloy. A panoramic roof on top and a towbar underneath and Kös is ready.

Volvo V60 B5 AWD Cross Country (250 hp) – 59,495 euros
