Rain radar heralds spring with Pollenradar

The developers of Buienradar have given the app a spring update. Hay fever patients can now view pollen via Buienradar to see how bad their complaints are going to be.

The new version of the Buienradar app now includes a Pollenradar. On this radar you can see at a glance how bad it is with hay fever complaints in our country. Because this can differ per region, you can see the current status per area on the map of the Netherlands. With the slider under the map you can also look up to five days ahead. The animation gives you an idea of the hay fever situation for the coming week at a glance.

Each region receives a score from 1 to 10, where 1 means few complaints, while 10 means an extreme situation. The map also colors from light yellow to red, so you don’t even have to look at numbers. The app also makes no distinction between different types of hay fever: it may therefore be that some people have more or fewer complaints than indicated by the app.

In addition to the new Pollenradar, a number of errors under the hood have also been resolved. The bugs that have been fixed with the update are not mentioned further.

Rain radar often alternates special radars for a specific season. For example, with the app you can also request a snow radar, while with the sun radar you can see whether you need to lubricate or not before you go outside. The drizzle radar, on the other hand, is always useful, because light splashes bother everyone all year round.
