Tired of Windows Mail, Thunderbird or others email clients? Postbox can be an interesting alternative.

The makers have paid a lot of attention to the user interface: it looks minimalistic and is efficiently laid out. The software supports IMAP and POP accounts and popular services such as Gmail and Outlook.com.

Postbox supports the use of tabs, as known from your browser, among other things. You can create multiple tabs, for example for work, hobby and family. If you don’t like organizing, the search function offers a powerful way to find the email you’re looking for. You search (simple) on keywords, but you can also make more complex searches with conditions. If you often send standard e-mails, you can use standard replies, which are automatically personalized with, for example, name, job title and other variables. If you have knowledge of HTML code, you can still adjust and optimize the existing code via the built-in editor.
Postbox also offers the possibility to create your own user interface with a built-in theme editor. If you don’t feel like getting started yourself, you can choose from a set of predefined themes. In addition to the appearance, you can also get started on a functional level. For example, we find Postbox Labs, which extends the functionality of Postbox with external functions (such as encryption and tools for importing and exporting). You pay about € 60 for the license.
