The time has come: after four years of waiting, Sony has released a new hybrid system camera: the A7 IV.

1. ILCE 7M4K SEL2870 front 2Where most system cameras are focused on one side of the box, a hybrid camera is made for both the photographer and the videographer.
The Sony A7 IV has a 33MP full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor (37% more pixels than its predecessor). This ensures razor-sharp quality in every photo. The A7 IV is also equipped with very fast real-time tracking and eye autofocus with no fewer than 759 phase-detection AF points. That makes this camera particularly suitable for sports and portrait photography. The A7 IV is dust and splash water resistant, so you can shoot the perfect picture in all weather conditions!
Like other models, the A7 IV has a few pre-programmed Sony Picture Profiles, including S-LOG2, Cine1, Cine2, and S-Cinetone. These give you more freedom to adjust the light in post processing or give you a nice preset Sony Cinematic look. However, the A7 IV is not an entry-level model. Operating it requires some basic knowledge, especially if you want to get the most out of the options.
