The PinePhone 64 is a smartphone based on the company’s Pine A64 Single Board Computer, a Raspberry Pi clone. This phone can handle pretty much all smartphone distributions so that you as a user can decide which operating system you will use, from SailFish to KDE Plasma and UBports (a community-maintained version of Ubuntu Touch) to Meamo.

The device has the ability to boot from MicroSD, so you don’t have to flash your smartphone every time you want to work with another OS, making it the ultimate device for the Linux enthusiast.

The company has released images of the smartphone running on Ubuntu Touch, PostMarketOs (phosh), KDE Neon (Plasma Mobile) and LuneOS.

The device is not yet out, but users who want to hang out or develop the early adopter can already order the “BraveHeart” Limited Edition for just under $ 150.

In addition to smartphones, the company is also working on cheap Linux laptops, cheap Linux tablets and of course affordable SBCs
