BMW is working on a facelift for the X4. That is well on schedule in terms of timing, but BMW seems to make an exception for the X4 for the time being when it comes to the grille.
The second generation of the BMW X4 has now been around for about three years and that means that a – as BMW calls it – ‘Life Cycle Impulse’ is waiting. The unveiling of the sharpened X4 will probably not take very long anymore, but do not think that Munich will reveal many details. Just like the last time it was spotted, the front and rear of the SUV with sloping roofline is skilfully covered with a concealing wrap.
That does not detract from the fact that the implied changes are known. For example, we see that BMW is overhauling the layout of the headlights and that the units as a whole also grow slightly in width. The kidney grille, a hot topic at BMW, seems to remain fairly similar in size for the time being. The large units, as we know them from the 4-series, 7-series and iX, will pass the X4 for the time being, it seems.
At the back it is a bit more focused on looking for novelties. In any case, expect a slightly modified bumper, but it also seems that the rear lights have some changes in store. However, much more than a modified layout does not seem to work. We expect to be able to admire it undisturbed in the spring, because then BMW is expected to push the renewed X4 forward.
