Volkswagen ID3 best-selling EV in Europe

The Volkswagen ID3 was the best-selling EV in Europe in October. Volkswagen has thus surpassed the Renault Zoe and the Hyundai Kona Electric in terms of sales numbers. The ID3 also leads the ranking in the Netherlands.

October was only the second full month that the ID3 has been able to run on the car market. Yet figures show that Automotive News got hold of that they have made a flying start in Wolfsburg. Volkswagen sold 10,315 ID3s in Europe last month, knocking the Renault Zoe off the throne as the best-selling EV. The latter sold 9,614 copies in October. The Hyundai Kona Electric can take third place on the podium with 5,999 copies sold, albeit by a wide margin. The Tesla Model 3 was no longer in the top 10 in October.

The ID3 also appears to be immensely popular in the Netherlands. In October, 2,789 ID3s were sold here, in total the counter for this year now stands at more than 3,300 units sold. With the enormous battle that the ID3 made in our country in October, he remains well ahead of the Kia Niro. 1,192 copies of these rolled out of the showroom in October. In Norway and Ireland, the ID3 is also the best-selling car in October. The Renault Zoe can in any case remain with your head held high, because it remains the best-selling EV of 2020 with a total of 71,521 units sold during the first ten months of the year.
