Starting blocks are placed at the start. Newton’s law has something to do with this, but which law is correct?

Answer
You push against the starting blocks (and therefore the earth), the starting blocks push back against you. Newton’s third law. Just like in the example of the two persons on the ice, here too you push the earth backwards. But the mass of the earth is so great compared to your mass that we don’t notice it.
