But Xiaomi has even more plans for the fall, because on July 4, it will present the Xiaomi 12S series in China, which will be the first to work with Leica cameras.

The German camera company Leica and Xiaomi presented their camera collaboration at the end of May. Then they already announced that a new top phone will be arriving in July with a Leica camera and there was already speculation about the arrival of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. It will also come, but under the name ‘Xiaomi 12S Ultra’. What is striking based on the teaser image: the 12S UItra does not match the renders we saw earlier of the expected Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The Chinese company may have gone to the drawing board again to adapt the design to a new camera setup developed together with Leica.
Leaked specs
The 12S Ultra is rumored to come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen. It is an LTPO panel with a refresh rate up to 120Hz. The chipset is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the Ultra phone comes with 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. The main camera is a 50 MP one with optical image stabilization, there is a 48 MP wide-angle camera and a 48 MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom.
