You can finally use iMessage on your PC

Pay attention to iPhone users who have not (yet) fully immersed themselves in the Apple ecosystem. It is now finally possible to have iMessage integration on your Windows PC. It must only be a Dell because it is an application made by Dell.

Dell has been providing a companion app for a while now for users who want to connect their smartphone to their computer. This app gave you, among other things, the possibility to make calls, send text messages, transfer files and view and manage notifications. However, these functions were only reserved for Android smartphones until now.

The new Dell Mobile Connect app will soon also receive support for iOS devices, allowing iPhone users to work with their iPhone on their PC in the same way as when used with the Mac. Next spring, Mobile Connect will not only have the possibility to mirrors the screen of iPhones, but also to send files back and forth, make phone calls and even use iMessage. To make this possible, users only need to download the Mobile Connect app.

A small “but”

There is only a little snag. This app only works in combination with modern Dell laptops (XPS, Inspiron, Vostro, Alienware, and G Series from January 2018). These devices are already equipped with this app as standard, which means that users don’t have to install anything on the computer.

It is not yet clear when all features will be available for iOS.
