The Bentley Bentayga is already available in many flavors and now two more are being added. The plug-in hybrid Bentayga Hybrid is now also available as an S and as an Azure. Bentley takes the opportunity to make the plug-in hybrid powertrain of those versions just that little bit more potent.
The Bentley Bentayga is now also available in an extra long version, but the choice between a regular Bentayga or the extended Bentayga EWB is not the only one that Bentley offers you. For example, the Bentayga is available as Speed ​​with a mighty W12. In addition, you can also opt for flavors with a V8. It doesn’t stop there. In the form of the Bentayga Hybrid, the SUV is also available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Not long after Bentley thoroughly modernized the Bentayga in 2020, it also came up with an improved powertrain for that plug-in Bentayga. The Bentley Bentayga Hybrid is now also available in sporty S and in extra luxurious Azure trim. These new versions are also a bit stronger than the regular plug-ins.
Bentley Bentayga S Hybrid
The Bentayga S Hybrid and Azure Hybrid have the well-known 449 hp 3.0 V6, but will have a stronger electric motor. In new versions, the electric motor does not deliver 128 hp and 350 Nm, but 136 hp and 400 Nm. So about 15 percent more electrical torque. The system power is therefore a generous 462 hp. The two versions also have an 18 kWh battery instead of a 17.3 kWh battery, good for an electric range of 43-44 kilometers.
Like the S version of the Bentayga with V8, the Bentayga S Hybrid is a sportier variant, complete with black accents that are standard in the Blackline package on this version. Dark headlights? From the party. The same goes for black side mirror caps, a black grille and a Bentayga Speed-imitated front bumper. The Bentayga S Hybrid stands on special 22-inch light metal and is naturally loaded with pieces of leather, although there is a lot to adjust to your own liking. The Bentley Bentayga S Hybrid reaches a speed of 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and has a top speed of 254 km/h. In addition, the dampers of the Bentayga S Hybrid are 15 percent stiffer than those of the non-S. At the top of the rear we see a larger rear spoiler, dark taillights and a two-part oval exhaust pipe on either side of the rear bumper.
Bentley Bentayga Azure Hybrid
The new Azure version is the cream of the crop in Bentayga country. According to Bentley, the Azure is able to keep noises from the environment and the powertrain out of the interior even better. Bentley brings 22-way adjustable padded front seats and attractive woodwork – available in three variants – to the interior of the Bentayga Azure Hybrid. From the outside, you can recognize the Azure by its chrome grilles, Azure badges and special 22-inch alloy wheels.
