Opel reports that it will put a fully electric version of its largest purchaser in showrooms next year. We are of course talking about the Movano, and the electric version will undoubtedly be called Movano-e.
Opel has an electric hatchback on the menu in the form of the Corsa-e and soon you can also turn to the brand for a fully electric version of the Zafira Life and the new Mokka. The Zafira-e Life is of course strongly related to the electric Vivaro-e, Opel’s medium-sized buyer. The Vivaro-e will certainly not remain Opel’s only electric commercial vehicle. The brand announces that it will release a fully electric variant of the Movano next year. That big van will most likely be called Movano-e.
The smaller brother of the Vivaro and Movano, the Combo, will also be available in a fully electric version next year. This means that by the end of next year, all Opel commercial vehicles will also be available in fully electric form in addition to combustion engines. Opel confirms that the new Opel Astra planned for next year will also be an electrified version. That will at least be a plug-in hybrid, but if the Astra, just like the soon-to-be new 308, will actually be installed on the new (e) VMP platform, then it is also very possible that a fully electric Astra -e appears. Electrified versions of all Opel models should be available by 2024. By then, the replacement of the current Insignia will also be available as a plug-in and / or as an EV.
