Simyo receives support for 5G: extra affordable on the fast mobile data network

From November 1, Simyo customers can use the 5G network. It does not matter whether you have a subscription or prepaid with the provider. This allows you to use the fast mobile data network extra cheaply.
Simyo was one of the few ‘large’ players on the market that did not yet offer 5G. Thanks to the adjustment, existing and new customers automatically gain access to the 5G network at no additional costs.
Quickly access your WhatsApp conversations with the widget for iPhone

The WhatsApp widget for iPhone is back with a vengeance. Since version 24.21.81 it is possible to use the shortcuts in a widget again. This way you can immediately open a conversation in the chat app.
Widgets for WhatsApp are not new, the chat service had already added the widget to iOS since 2016. However, this was banned with the arrival of iOS 18 because it was still an old widget. From now on, users can add the updated Widget again and benefit from new features.
Apple releases firmware update for AirPods

Apple has released a new firmware update for several old generations of AirPods. This is how the AirPods Pro 1, AirPods 2/3 and AirPods Max are updated. The new version number is 6F21 and mainly contains bug fixes and optimizations.
On the Apple website you can read in a support document (Dutch) which improvements and solutions Apple has made and/or whether new options have been added. The AirPods are automatically provided with the new firmware, but updating manually is unfortunately a difficult job.
Apple hints at new Macs coming next week

It is a special way to get users excited about a new Mac computer. Greg Joswiak, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Apple, shared on X that Apple has some exciting announcements coming next week.
For example, he writes ‘Mac (😉) your calendars! We have an exciting week of announcements ahead, starting on Monday morning. Stay tuned…’. By this he clearly refers to the arrival of new Macs. On Monday morning, in our afternoon, the first Mac will be unveiled with the help of a press release.
