The Judge

Panic Room

A room that you can close off hermetically in case there are intruders in your house. Of course you hope you never need a room like that, but that is exactly what happens in Panic Room. This room, made up of steel and concrete, has an ingenious security system that protects you from intruders as well as allows you to keep an eye on your home via video screens. Single mother Meg (Jodie Foster) and her eleven-year-old daughter Sarah (Kirsten Steward) are forced to hide in the room until the room turns against them too and the situation reaches critical levels.

Bumblebee

When Bumblebee has to take refuge in a California junkyard in the 1980s, the situation doesn’t look too good for him. He is badly damaged and also has to keep a low profile. Fortunately, the teenager Charlie then appears in his life, who soon discovers that she is not dealing with an ordinary car but with something that is not of this earth. She manages to patch Bumblebee up little by little. And that appears to be necessary because Bumblebee’s existence is threatened and he can use all the help.

No Strings Attached

No Strings Attached tells the classic dating story: husband and wife are both looking for pleasure, but without the burdens of a relationship. The lead roles are played by Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman. They are each other’s oldest and best friends and therefore a relationship does not seem to be in it. Then, however, they decide to make a deal that gives them both the merits, but not the burdens. Ultimately, this involves exactly the complications that you can expect in such a situation. Footloose

The remake of the ’80s classic Footloose appears on Netflix this month. In the village of Bomont it is also prohibited in this version to play loud music and to dance. The conservative village imposed this ban after a tragic accident. As a newcomer, the young Ren MacCormack has to get used to this and he can’t help but try to bring some new life to the brewery.
