Apple sent out the invitation to the iPhone 15 event yesterday! It will take place on September 12 at 7 p.m. Dutch time. We went looking for hints hidden in the invitation for the iPhone 15 event!
iPhone 15 event: Wonderlust
As in previous years, the invitation mainly shows the Apple logo. This time consists of different types of sand that on the one hand ensure that the logo gets depth. On the other hand, the logo seems to be half blown away, because many grains of sand fly away to the right side.
Below that is the text ‘Wonderlust’. That is a pun of the English/German words ‘Wanderlust’ and ‘Wonder’. The former mainly refers to ‘discovering’, the latter more to the ‘fantastic’ fact that a new iPhone is coming. We list for you what this can all mean.
1. Colors of the new iPhones
The sand of the Apple logo is mostly two colors: dark gray and blue. And let that be precisely two colors that we also expect for the iPhone 15 Pro line-up.
However, there also seems to be a gold-like color in the logo. But that gold color would actually be dropped. The theory of iPhoned? The color of the metal titanium often also has a touch of gold. Perhaps this refers to the material from which the iPhone 15 Pro is made?
2. Be amazed by an iPhone 15 Ultra?
The word wonderlust could mean that Apple wants to surprise us with the new iPhone. Now the iPhone 15 does not seem to be spectacularly new at first, but maybe the company will surprise us with a completely new iPhone 15 Ultra, which will replace the Pro Max.
3. Made of titanium
Is it even sand from which the Apple logo is made? Maybe it’s titanium powder, the metal from which the frame of iPhone 15 Pro is probably made. In addition, that frame is colored matte, which also matches the Apple logo on the invite.
Oh yes, and what do you use to give metal a matte finish? Right, you’re going to sandblast it. So we are back to the sand.
4. 3D camera
While the hints for this can still be reasonably explained based on previous rumors, we are now doing a bit more speculation. As you can see, the Apple logo has quite a bit of depth. Perhaps Apple wants to tell us that the iPhone 15’s camera can take 3D photos and videos.
That sounds pretty crazy at first, but then again… the Apple Vision Pro will soon be able to display 3D movies. How cool would it be if you could make those movies with your iPhone right now?
5. Usb-c connections
It is almost certain that the iPhone 15 will have a USB-C connection. Apple itself no longer makes a secret of it, because look at the shape of the Apple logo. Isn’t there clearly a ‘C’ to recognize there? Apple confirms it itself: the iPhone 15 will get USB-C.
