You may have started to itch last week, due to the introduction of the bright yellow iPhone 14. That you are still hesitating to buy the Apple smartphone with such a nice color. But according to OMT editor Jeroen Kraak, it is much better to wait for the iPhone 15.
Where the bright yellow iPhone 14 can practically only convince you because of its color, the iPhone 15 has plenty of other reasons to make the switch worthwhile. Why? I’ll tell you that with five reasons.
iPhone 15 improvements
You don’t have to worry that the iPhone 15 only has a different color to offer. There is of course much more to experience.
Apple logically keeps its mouth tight, but the rumors are quickly circulating. These are, in my opinion, the most interesting:
#1 Another design
You may have already seen Mark’s article: the iPhone 15 will probably have a different design than the 14. New renders have leaked that show something.
What we can conclude from this are, among other things, thinner screen edges and the devices are slightly more curved.
Do you want to know what else is changing? You can read much more about it in this article.
#2 USB-C on the iPhone 15
At Apple, of course, they like all kinds of separate cables. You no longer need that with the iPhone 15, because it will have a USB-C connection.
This means that you simply charge your phone with the cable of your tablet or, for example, that of an Android phone. Handy if you forgot your own.
#3 Solid state buttons
These buttons are a kind of middle ground between the traditional buttons you now find on the side of your iPhone and dedicated touch controls. Think of the Home button that appeared later and has no moving parts.
As a result, your buttons will no longer get stuck due to dirt and this is also better for the water resistance of the phone. How exactly the reactions of the button will feel is still unknown.

#4 Periscope
This feature is specifically for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. With a periscope lens you can zoom in even better to take pictures. If the rumors are correct, this will allow you to zoom six times better than with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is of course a significant improvement.
Of course, there is no room for a real zoom lens on a smartphone. Mirrors are therefore used in a periscope camera. This allows the lenses to run along the length of the phone. Because this takes up a lot of space, it is now only possible with the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
#5 Dynamic Island
While the periscope is mainly good news for people who want an iPhone 15 Pro Max, future owners of the regular 15 and 15 Plus will be able to use Dynamic Island next year. With the iPhone 14, this function was only available for the Pro and Pro Max.
In this way, the somewhat ugly notch has been neatly concealed by an area where you can now see notifications. This allows you, for example, to see the results of your favorite football team while you do something else on your phone.
