Google has started rolling out the AI chatbot Bard. This ChatGPT counterpart is slowly being rolled out to the general public, starting in the US and UK.
After the overwhelming success of Microsoft’s ChatGPT, Google can’t stay behind with the arrival of their AI chatbot. In early February 2023, Google introduced its own AI chatbot Bard and now Google Bard is slowly being rolled out to a wider audience.
Chatbot
Like ChatGPT, Bard is a chatbot with artificial intelligence. It is therefore smart software that is able to quickly write text based on a question. For example, he can answer questions and provide explanations, rewrite or summarize texts, write lyrics or prose, invent stories or generate texts.

So Google is now starting to roll out its own AI chatbot Bard. Similar to ChatGPT, Bard allows you to type a question or command (prompt) into a text field. Google does indicate that Bard is still in an experimental phase. In any case, you should always check the texts of the AI chatbots for inaccuracies, because they are certainly not flawless yet. Google reports on this: “they are not without their faults” and “And they may provide inaccurate, misleading or false information while confidently presenting it.” (text continues below the image)
Incidentally, Bard is an addition to the Google search engine and does not replace it.
Availability Google Bard
Unfortunately, only residents of the US and the UK have access to Bard for the time being and there is also a waiting list. They can register for this via bard.google.com. Furthermore, it is not yet known when Bard will become available for other countries and therefore users, we will keep you informed.
