Siri is a smart assistant with no manners, but she doesn’t interrupt you like that anymore

Siri is good at many things, but the smart assistant also has a knack for interrupting you in the middle of your question or sentence. Fortunately, there are a number of ways to get Siri to let you finish.

Siri isn’t listening to you long enough for you to recite your entire command? This is easily fixed by holding down the side button on your iPhone or iPad to summon the virtual assistant. But there is another possibility.

Siri will no longer interrupt you

Asking your question is a lot easier and faster if you can summon Siri via the “Hey Siri” command. But how do you ensure that the smart assistant continues to listen? Good news: the solution is hidden in the settings of your iPhone or iPad.

Open the Institutions from your iPhone or iPad and scroll down to your Accessibility encounters. Tap on it and open at the bottom of the section General on Siri. below Siri pause time you can set how long the assistant waits for you to finish speaking.

This function is set to Standard, but it is also possible to make this longer or shorter. In this case, of course, we choose Longer. This means that there may be a larger pause between your command and Siri’s response, but at least the assistant will no longer interrupt you so quickly.

Get more out of the smart assistant

Now that we’re busy getting more potential out of Siri, we’d like to share a number of masterful commands that are indispensable as an iPhone user. For example, you can use the smart assistant to give you updates on the weather, the news, your calendar and other things that are important. But there’s more.

You can even have Siri change settings or turn off your iPhone. You just have to ask. As icing on the cake, there’s a handy trick to feel like a real wizard á la Harry Potter, by simply using the spells ‘Lumos’ and ‘Nox’ to operate the flashlight.
