More control over what happens within your network, for example for problem solving? With the free Wireless Network Watcher you can take a closer look at the wireless network. In a compact window it shows which devices are connected to the network. It not only gives the name, but also shows as much information as possible about the connected device.
In addition to the device name, the app displays the IP address, MAC address, and hardware manufacturer. The latter is useful in practice, especially in environments with many smart devices and home automation. Based on the manufacturer data, you can find out relatively easily which device it is.
Wireless Network Watcher also works well in practice to check whether there are no uninvited guests active on the network, for example in the event of a hacked password. If you want more control, you can have Wireless Network Watcher show a notification as soon as a new device registers on the network. You can also provide devices with additional information. You use the column UserText.
You can use the app on different versions of Windows, including Windows 10 and Windows 11. The app only works on wireless networks; you cannot therefore perform analyzes within a wired environment.
