Yale has launched a new range of smart alarm systems, smart outdoor and indoor cameras and a smart video doorbell following the success of the Linus smart door lock. All this should provide smart home security using the Yale Home app.

Yale’s smart alarm system is designed to protect property of all sizes, both indoors and outdoors. Users can benefit from a long range of up to 1 km, control four different rooms in their home independently and secure multiple properties via one Yale Home account. Subscription users also gain access to several additional features, such as mobile backup communications, automatic call alarms and professional third-party monitoring.
Smart cameras with useful functions
Yale’s new smart cameras can be used and controlled at any time and from any location. Built-in AI technology in the cameras allows users to enable person detection and customizable zones and schedules at no additional cost. These features reduce the number of false or common notifications sent to the user’s smartphone and exclude certain areas from recording.
Smart video doorbell
The smart video doorbell sends homeowners detailed notifications when motion is detected and a call when someone presses the doorbell. Accessories such as the Yale doorbell chime can also be used for larger properties or multi-storey properties so that the call can be heard throughout the home. For those who want cloud recording and additional AI features such as pet, package or vehicle detection, a subscription to the smart doorbell and smart cameras is available. The smart doorbell also integrates with other Yale smart devices. This way, when the smart doorbell rings, you can use the Yale Home app to check who is at the door and, if safe to do so, unlock the door with the Linus® smart door lock to let them in.
