The Chinese Anker produces many different devices in the field of consumer electronics, from power banks to robot vacuum cleaners such as the Robovac X8. Eufy is the home security branch of Anker and the Eufy Indoor Cam S350 is one of Anker’s newest indoor cameras. It also has a microphone, so you can use it as a baby monitor, for example: it is also intended for parents of small children.

Design
The design is reminiscent of the robot Wall-E from the Pixar film Wall-E. The Indoor Cam S350 has a similar facial structure to Wall-E due to the two horizontally placed cameras that are reminiscent of two eyes looking out into the world. The head is also larger than the bottom, making the camera a little top heavy. However, you won’t notice this during use.
The camera looks sturdy and good materials have been used. The camera can tilt (tilt) by moving the head. This model rotates at the very bottom where the gray bottom changes into white. At the bottom you will find the connection for the cable, which you can then neatly disappear at the back through a small passage. On the back we find the speaker.
All in all, the S350 looks good: It has a nice design and is very handy with its dimensions of 75 x 75 x 108 mm. Not too big so you can easily pick it up and move it. It’s not heavy either: only 240 grams.

Specifications
The camera is equipped with various functions, such as Clear Night Vision to see clearly at night. It also has two-way communication, notifications, local storage with micro SD card and support for HomeBase 3, dual-band WiFi 6 and a privacy mode. There is the option to record 24/7, but this is only possible if you insert a micro SD card. In brief:

Installation
It was quite easy to get started with the S350, as there were not too many supplies. The box contains the camera, the SD card and a plug to connect your camera. There is also a fairly extensive manual, also in Dutch.

App
The operation was quite easy. Once you have connected the robot, you must first download the app and create an account there. If you then click on the plus sign, you can connect the robot to the app. If this is successful, the robot may update first. The app also asks whether you want to allow it to use your home data. You can of course decide for yourself whether you want this or not. In the app you can also control the robot yourself with the live view. Here you can tilt and turn the camera with the arrows and you can also set off a loud siren.

You can also record images and mute sound; In addition, two-way communication is possible, which ensures that you not only hear what is playing on your smartphone screen, but can also talk (using the microphone in your screen) and hear it from the S350’s speaker. In the app you can also set positions that the camera can easily switch between. If you click on the gear, you will go to the settings. Here you can adjust the motion detection, set activity zones and set the detection sensitivity, streaming quality and image quality.

Camera and sound
The cameras have good quality. The Eufy Indoor Cam S350 has not one, but two cameras on board. The main camera with a viewing angle of 130 degrees has a 4K resolution. When you zoom in, it switches to the telephoto camera, which has 2K image quality. This allows you to get closer to events with up to 3x optical zoom and 8x hybrid zoom. A Dual View is also possible, with images from two cameras simultaneously in the Eufy Security app on your smartphone or tablet. This good image quality makes it easy to recognize people and if they are standing a little further away, you can zoom in. In dark conditions, the camera switches to night vision, which should ensure a good image in the dark. The wired camera can rotate 360 degrees and also see quite a bit vertically and comes with Intelligent Tracking, an advanced AI tracking that can track people (or pets).

The sound quality of the camera could have been better. The sound works very well for close range, but if there is a little more distance in between, the quality deteriorates. So if something happens at a greater distance, you can zoom in well with the camera, but there will be little or no sound.
The camera is also equipped with cry detection, so that you as a parent can hear when a child is crying.

Conclusion
All in all, it is a good security camera to have in your home. It is nice and small so that you can place it in many places and not be noticed, it provides a good image and so you can keep an eye on your room with good quality. It is a pity that you can only hear your sound from relatively close and not from a somewhat greater distance. It is a useful lookout if, for example, you have a small child and can keep an eye on them, and the two-way communication means you can also use the camera as a baby monitor. The telephoto camera is nice, but not completely necessary for an indoor camera. This model is also very focused on the Eufy ecosystem and we miss other smart home integrations. Don’t you mind all that? Then the Eufy Indoor Cam S350 has a very good price-quality ratio.
