The foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 has updated hardware, a much larger cover screen and an improved hinge.

The cover screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 (with facial recognition) on the outside is now 3.4 inches and large enough that it cannot be opened when, for example, notifications arrive. You have direct access to features and widgets to view the calendar, receive and/or answer notifications and calls, look at the weather forecast and your emails. You can also set up apps such as Google Maps, WhatsApp, YouTube and Netflix. And since you can determine the background and fonts yourself, you make it very personal.
Thanks to the new hinge, when the Flip5 is opened, both sides can lie against each other: more beautiful, more stylish and less vulnerable. The bright main screen has a 6.7-inch AMOLED 120Hz FHD+ screen and a 22:9 aspect ratio; the small screen has a 3.4-inch AMOLED 60Hz screen with 720 x 748 pixels.
The fast processor and RAM ensure smooth images and smooth performance, and you can now choose from 256 or 512 GB of storage memory. The power button also functions as a fingerprint scanner.
The two 12MP camera lenses are now placed horizontally and take nice, sharp photos with good colors. When you place the Flip5 down, you can tilt the top half 90 degrees and easily take photos and videos, which works great!
In terms of software, it is equipped with Android 13 and you get 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates. You have a reasonable battery life thanks to the 3700mAh battery and it can also be charged wirelessly.
