Nowadays you no longer have to leave your home to take a gamble in the casino. Online gambling has been legal in the Netherlands since October 2021 and since then more than 25 casinos have come online with a gaming offer for the Dutch market. Some of these are the established names, such as Holland Casino, Jack’s Casino and Fairplay Casino, which you also see here and there in the streets. But there are also new names, such as Kansino and Casino 777, which were not previously active in our country.
Gambling via an app
The companies that have become active in the Dutch online gambling market offer, among other things, live table games, slot games and sports betting. Gambling mainly takes place via the websites of these providers. A number of gambling companies have now also come up with their own app that should offer an even better gaming experience. But which casino apps are there currently and are they all available on Apple’s App Store? In any case, it is clear that offering an app has not been a high priority for most gambling companies, because not all parties offer this option.
Apple vs Android
Bet365 and Unibet take the cake, as they each have no fewer than three different apps for gambling. These companies have chosen to separate poker, other games and sports betting. These apps are available for both Apple and Android. Toto, part of the Dutch Lottery, has two apps, namely a casino app and a sports betting app. It is striking that no Android version of the casino app is available. This also applies to the apps of Come On and LeoVegas, two relative newcomers to the Dutch market, both of which are part of companies in Malta.
Other providers
Then there are some other notable providers, such as the Dutch ZEbet, which we already knew from betting on horse races. The company now also offers sports betting online through a website and an app for Apple and Android. LiveScore Bet does the same, but combines it with a live casino. Tombola is an outsider in the list, this company specializes in bingo games and wants to become the largest player in the Netherlands. The company has already succeeded with flying colors in the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy. Like many gambling companies, this company is also based in Malta.
