If you have added a lot of apps, widgets and folders to your iPhone or iPad, you can easily sort them by moving them to other home screens or into folders. This can be quite a job, but what if you accidentally moved an app or folder?
Using a neat trick, you can quickly unmove apps, widgets, and folders on an iPhone or iPad. The widget, application or folder will then immediately restart in its original state.
Shake to undo move
To undo a certain action or change, it has been possible to shake your iPhone or iPad almost since the beginning of iOS. A notification is triggered and you have the option to undo a certain action.

Since iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, this is also possible when moving apps and widgets. Gently shake your iPhone or iPad to activate the notification and undo the move. The application, widget or folder will then immediately restart in its original state. Handy, right?
