Did you know that you can quickly type a number or punctuation mark on your iPhone or iPad with the help of a clever trick? Normally you have to tap the 123 button to type the punctuation marks, numbers and other symbols, but this can be done faster so that you can continue with the text immediately.
Using the virtual keyboard you can easily type messages on your iPhone or iPad. You probably won’t be able to do long texts quickly, but you can of course speed it up with, among other things, the QuickPath swipe keyboard, text replacements and the tip below.
Quickly type numbers or punctuation marks
- Activate the keyboard on your iPhone or iPad
- Put your finger on the 123 button
- The keyboard with numbers and punctuation marks opens
- Without lifting it, drag your finger to the number or punctuation mark you want to type
- Release your finger to add the character
As soon as you lift your finger, the 123 keyboard will be hidden and you can resume typing. This way you can quickly type the desired punctuation marks or numbers in a simple and smart way and complete your text.
Quickly type a point
Did you know that you can also quickly type a period after a sentence by double-tapping the space bar? The software will automatically end the sentence with a period. You must set this via Settings â–¸ General â–¸ Keyboard â–¸ enable the ‘dot shortcut’ option.
