Since iOS 16, you can make the lock screen more personal and provide it with a custom layout. The background of the home screen (app overview) can also be adjusted since this software update.
This can contain the same wallpaper as the lock screen, or its own unique wallpaper. Plus, you can fade and blur the background of the home screen with the tap of a button. This way you preserve the colors of the image, without too much distraction.
Blur home screen background
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap ‘Wallpaper’
- Navigate to the current or desired combination
- Tap ‘Customise’ on the home screen
You can then adjust the wallpaper of the app overview. Via the drop (blur) you can blur and blur the background with one tap. This is possible with all photos and wallpapers. Tap Done to save your changes.
Useful if you have a beautiful photo on the lock screen and you want to use the same tones for the home screen, without the distracting elements of the image.
