Force restart Apple Vision Pro, turn it on and off

The Apple Vision Pro is a spatial computer that you can manually switch on and off. To do this, you must supply the headset with power using an external battery. It is recommended to manually turn off the Vision when you are not using it.

If you experience problems with the spatial computer, you can force restart the Vision Pro. All processes are then stopped and restarted. You especially do this if the Apple Vision Pro is not responding and you can no longer turn it off.

Enable Apple Vision Pro

  • Connect the Vision Pro battery
  • Press the top button for a few seconds
  • Wait for the Apple logo to appear on the front display
  • Release the button

Disable Vision Pro

  • Hold the top button and Digital Crown pressed for a few seconds
  • A slider will appear
  • Drag the slider to turn off the device

You can also switch off the headset via Settings â–¸ General â–¸ Shut down. Finally, you can also ask Siri to turn off the Vision Pro.

Force restart Vision Pro

Hold the top button and Press and hold the Digital Crown until the screens go black. In the meantime, you may see the ‘Force Quit’ window and/or disable slider. You also have to keep both buttons pressed, only let go when the screens are black and the Vision Pro restarts automatically.

As Apple Vision Pro restarts, the Apple logo will appear on the front display. If you don’t see the Apple logo, you may need to hold the top button for a few seconds until it appears.
