Find My Siri Remote is an option that many Apple TV users have been longing for, tvOS 17 adds this capability. Unfortunately, you cannot find the remote control directly in the Find My app, but in another way.
From Control Center on your iPhone, you can launch the Apple TV remote to find your Siri Remote (2nd generation or newer). This way you can try to find a lost remote control and you have a better indication of where to start looking.
Find My Siri Remote
To find the Apple TV remote control, your Apple TV must have at least tvOS 17 and a paired iPhone with iOS 17 or newer. Then follow the steps below.
- If necessary, add the remote to the iPhone control panel
- Open Control Center on your iPhone
- Tap the Siri Remote icon
- The virtual Apple TV remote opens
- Tap the name of the Apple TV
- Tap the ‘Search’ button to the right

The search is activated and the display shows a rotating circle. As you approach the remote control, you will see a circle on the screen expand to indicate that you are close. The screen also turns blue, indicating that the connection is stronger. Follow the on-screen instructions to find the remote. Playing sound or something similar is not possible.
Siri Remote 2nd generation or newer
This way the Apple TV remote control is only possible with a Siri Remote 2nd generation or newer. These are the gray remote controls made of aluminum.
Unfortunately, you can only search for the remote using the Bluetooth signal and not accurately like an AirTag. Do you often lose the Apple TV remote control? Then you can also use the Nomad Leather Cover. This protects the Apple TV Siri Remote and hides an AirTag so you can accurately search for the remote with ultrawideband.
