Apple says this is normal behavior for LCD screens, but Apple has improved this for the 7th generation. The display technology and refresh rate is better matched to the processing speed of the iPad.

Support for Apple Pencil Pro

The Apple Pencil Pro has sensors that register that you squeeze the Pencil. You will then see a new palette, so you can quickly change tools, line thickness or color.
