iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 include several major changes, new features and capabilities. This includes the brand new control panel, personalize home screen, new Photos app, extensions for calculator, passwords application and much more. In addition, iOS 18 also contains a lot of small changes that benefit daily use.
This includes reminders in Calendar, new iCloud overview, changing Siri’s name, silent mode for CarPlay and more. Below you’ll find the first part of even more minor changes in iOS 18 and iPadOS 18.
Wind chill in Weather app
It has been possible for some time to consult the perceived temperature in the Weather application for iPhone and iPad, among others. Since iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, this temperature has become more prominent. From now on you will find the perceived temperature directly below the current temperature at the top of the app. This way you can immediately see whether there is a big difference between the two values.

Pause recording videos
Finally, while recording a video, you can pause recording instead of stopping it. This allows you to make a long or short video consisting of several videos in a row, useful for your social media. Tap the pause button instead of the stop button to pause recording and then tap the red record button to resume it.
Collapse note sections
Have you made a long note with a lot of text in it? Then from now on you can collapse sections to draw attention to the most important information. You can do this for all parts that you provide with a title, header or subheader formatting via the Aa button after selecting the text.
The collapse works as follows; tap or click on the title, heading or subheading and a v sign will appear to the left of the title. Tap or click to collapse the item. The text between two titles or the end of the note will then be hidden and can be viewed by clicking or tapping the > sign again.

Currency Converter in Calculator
Finally, you can convert units and convert currencies directly from the Calculator application. Handy when you are traveling or if you want to cook an American recipe. Open the Calculator app, tap or click the calculator icon and choose ‘Convert’. You can then adjust the units, handy!
