Apple has Apple Music Sing introduceda great new feature that allows users to sing along to their favorite songs. The karaoke function has been available for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV 4K 3rd generation since iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2 and tvOS 16.2.
Apple Music Sing goes beyond just displaying lyrics. For example, the text indicates in real time what to sing and you can determine the volume of the vocal lines. Apple Music Sing also includes multiple lyric views, so music fans can also perform duets or join the backing vocals.
Karaoke function Apple Music
Lyrics have been available in Apple Music for some time and already perfectly reflected when a certain line of the lyrics was sung. With the sing function you can see it move even better with the music so that you know exactly when to sing something. Some details about the new karaoke function:
- Customizable Vocals: Users can now control the volume of vocal lines. They can sing with the artist’s original vocals, play lead, or mix with millions of songs in the Apple Music catalog.
- Real-time lyrics: users can sing along to their favorite songs with animated lyrics that dance to the rhythm of the song.
- Background choir: Simultaneously sung vocal lines can move independently of the melody line, making them easier to follow.
- Duet view: Multiple vocal lines are visible on either side of the screen, making it easy to sing along to duets or tracks with even more vocal lines.
Activate lyrics in Music app
- Open the Music app
- Navigate to the ‘Library’ tab
- Play a song, album or playlist
- Open the current view (found above the navigation bar)
- Tap the quote icon (speech bubble) at the bottom
Adjust vocal line volume
- Open the Music app on your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV
- Start a song with Sing support
- Tap the microphone icon with stars
- Adjust the volume of the vocal line
Not all songs with the karaoke function can adjust the volume of the vocal line. Sometimes you can see the animated lyrics that show the lyrics to be sung in real time, but the vocals cannot be adjusted.
Availability Apple Music Sing
Apple Music Sing has been available worldwide for Apple Music subscribers since iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2 and tvOS 16.2 and can be used on; an iPhone SE 2022, iPhone 11 (Pro) or newer, iPad 2021 or newer, iPad Air 2020 or newer, iPad mini 2021, iPad Pro 2021 or newer and finally on the Apple TV 4K 3rd generation.
Video during Apple Music Sing
Continuity Camera isn’t just used for FaceTime on the Apple TV. This function is also integrated into Apple Music Sing, a feature that lets you sing along to your favorite songs. Playlists for Sing
Apple Music contains a package of more than 50 special playlists with legendary songs, duets, choirs and theme songs that get people around the world singing. Naturally, these playlists are fully optimized for the karaoke function. You can find them under the ‘Search’ tab via the category ‘Sing’.
