Use floars for a clearer document in notes

Have you made a long note containing a lot of text? Then you can fold the text to draw attention to the most important information and make the document clearer. Since iOS 18, iPados 18 and macOS Sequoia, the notes app has the option of structuring text.

In order to be able to use the floating in the notes app you must provide the text with titles, headers and/or sub -heads. If you have arranged that, pieces of text can be folded together by the notes app. The result is a well-arranged document with folding and folding parts.

Add title, header or sub-head layout to a note

In the notes app you can add a title, header or subkop format to the note as follows:

  • Open a note in the notes app.
  • Select the text that you want to mark as a title, header or subkop.
  • Tap or click on the Aa button This gives you access to the formatting menu. Below iOS this button is present above the keyboard, under macOS it can be found on the top of the window.
  • Select the layout you want to assign to the head, you can choose from: title, header or subkop.

After adding the titles, headers and/or sub-heads you can use the Full function.

Use the Fraukouwen function in the notes app

The floating of text in the notes app works as follows: tap or click on a title, header or subkop you must have added to the text, to the left of this now appears a (V)-symbol.

Tap or click here to fold the part together. The text between two titles or until the end of the memorandum will no longer be visible. It (V)-symbol will automatically change in the larger than ticks (>). The underlying text can be shown again by on the (>)-symbol to click or tap.
