Optimizing iPhone storage space for offline music from Apple Music

As an Apple Music subscriber you have the choice of millions of music numbers. While listening, the songs are streamed to your iPhone or iPad. In principle, these are temporarily downloaded (buffer) and after listening to again.

The disadvantage of streaming is that it consumes data outside and at the expense of the data bundle. That is why it is interesting to download music automatically or manually. If you choose to automatically download music, it is advisable to optimize the storage of your music.

Download music

Open settings on your iPhone or iPad and go to ‘Apps’. Tap ‘music’, scroll down to ‘Downloads’ and call in the ‘automatic downloads’ option.
