Do you use multiple smart HomeKit and Matter devices in your home for iPhone, iPad and Mac? Then group them and create rooms in the Home app for iOS, iPadOS and macOS.
By grouping devices in rooms in the Home app, you can easily control them per room, such as turning off all the lights in the living room with one Siri command. This makes automating and calling scenes per room quick and clear, which is useful for many different devices.
Rooms in Apple Home
Using rooms in the Home app is useful if you have multiple smart home devices, because it offers more overview and efficiency. This helps you organize your devices better and operate them more easily. Thanks to Matter’s support, more and more smart devices can use the Home app. This includes smart lighting, thermostats and security cameras, which you can manage from one place.
With rooms you maintain an overview and you can easily adjust the lighting in the living room, while you regulate the temperature in the bedroom. This way you not only make your smart home ecosystem more efficient, but also more pleasant and personal.
