The iPad Pro may not receive any major new updates for years to come

Monday, March 30 • Wesley Fabry

If you were hoping for a groundbreaking iPad Pro with an even sleeker design or hardware innovations, we’re probably in for some disappointing news. According to Instant Digital, Apple has no major changes planned for the iPad Pro in the coming years. Instead, the company consciously opts for small, gradual upgrades.

This is because OLED screen prices are not falling fast enough and the 2024 redesign has not significantly increased sales. As a result, Apple sees no urgent need for a rapid innovation and focuses on internal improvements to keep the powerful tablet relevant for professionals.

Siri may get its own app on iPhone and Mac in iOS 27 and macOS 27: looks like an AI chat app

Siri may get its own app on iPhone and Mac in iOS 27 and macOS 27: looks like an AI chat app

Thursday, April 2 • Wesley Fabry

Apple would introduce its own Siri app with iOS 27 during WWDC 2026, according to a recent report from Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. This marks an important step in Siri’s transformation into a standalone AI assistant, independent of the built-in voice function. This allows Siri to function more like a chatbot, similar to ChatGPT or Google Gemini.

The standalone app would finally give Siri a clear, dedicated place on the home screen of iPhone, iPad and Mac. This fits seamlessly with Apple’s broader AI strategy, with Siri evolving from a simple voice assistant to a powerful chatbot with deeper integration into the system. Users will be able to more easily consult Siri for complex tasks without having to say “Hey Siri” every time.
