Simpel is a subsidiary brand of Odido and uses the national Odido network, so you are assured of good coverage almost everywhere. Since August 2026, Simpel has also offered Simpel Internet: fiber optic for the home with speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s. This allows Simpel to grow into a complete provider for both mobile and fixed internet, with the same honest approach that customers are already used to.
New: Simple Internet with fiber optic
Until recently, Simpel only offered SIM-only subscriptions for mobile calling, texting and internet. The brand profiled itself as a budget provider with simple bundles, no hassle and competitive rates.
Since August 12, 2026, Simpel has significantly expanded its offering with Simpel Internet: fiber optic subscriptions for the home. These new services use the networks of Odido, Delta Fiber and Open Dutch Fiber, so customers benefit from a fast and stable connection without mandatory TV packages.

Customers choose from three speeds and only pay for the internet that suits their usage. As an introduction, customers with a two-year fiber optic subscription pay only 1 euro per month for the first twelve months. After the introductory period, regular prices start from 35 euros per month.

Simple for mobile
What are the advantages and disadvantages of Simpel? With this article we want to provide clarity. Simpel is a subsidiary of Odido and is one of the cheaper mobile providers in the Netherlands. They achieve this partly because they have no physical stores and are part of the Odido network.

How SIM-only bundles work
Simple SIM-only bundles work with fixed amounts of data, calling minutes and text messages per month. You choose a bundle size, for example 5 GB with 250 calling minutes, and pay monthly in advance. 5G is included as standard with all subscriptions, with a maximum speed of up to 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload.
Odido network
As a Simpel customer, you use the Odido network in the Netherlands. The speed of your mobile data connection depends on the type of network. Simpel uses 4G and 5G. Simpel offers 5G as standard for SIM Only subscriptions. Odido covers more than 99% of the population with 4G/5G.
Number portability and eSIM
Like all other providers, Simpel also offers the option to take your telephone number with you. Complete this information when taking out the subscription. You can specify the start date yourself and you will be kept informed of the process via email and text message.
Simpel offers eSIM as a digital SIM card option for both new and existing customers with a SIM-only subscription, which you can easily download via a QR code instead of a physical card.
Data roaming
Calling, texting and using the internet in the EU falls within your SIM-only bundles. You do not pay any additional costs within all EU countries. If you go outside the EU, you will have to pay for calling, texting and using the internet. You can read the conditions on the Simpel website.
Using the Simple Ceiling
When you have used all your MBs with a SIM Only subscription at Simpel, you automatically switch to the out-of-bundle rate where you pay per individual megabyte. This can quickly increase the monthly telephone bill without noticing. To avoid unexpected costs, you can use the Simpel Ceiling. For an additional €0.50 per month you can set a limit for your usage, so that your mobile internet usage stops as soon as this limit is reached and you never spend more than planned.
To stay informed of your status, you will automatically receive a warning text message from Simpel when you reach 80% of your bundle, as well as a notification as soon as you reach 100%. Once the bundle has run out, you decide how to proceed: you can top up a one-off data bundle to be online again immediately, or adjust your monthly bundle if you structurally need more data.
Manage your bundles yourself
You can perform ‘self-service’ on your subscription via the Simpel website and app. For example, you can easily adjust your calling, texting and data bundles with just a few clicks. The website and app also give you the option to switch services on or off yourself, such as calling abroad, caller ID and call forwarding. You can also view consumption and invoices.

Customer reviews
Simpel scores 4.4 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot with more than 89,000 reviews. Customers especially praise the low prices, the reliable Odido network and the 5G included as standard. Some users note that customer service is sometimes slow to respond to technical problems or installations.
With this combination of competitive prices, a reliable network and transparent conditions, Simpel positions itself as an attractive choice for those looking for a SIM-only subscription or fiber optic internet without the hassle.
